P. C. Richards is typically very aggressive when it comes to sales, and has an old school approch, which haggling is accepted. While there is no "official" word on whether or not they will match amazon prices, reports from consumers on the web have found that not only will they price match but they typically will beat competitor pricing!

When talking to the salesperson, mention that the item can be found on Amazon for less. If they bring up shipping costs, simply say "I'm a prime member and get free 2 day shipping anyway" (Even if you don't). Mention that you would like to buy the item here anyway to support local business. Tug on that heartstring to suggest that you care for the community you are in and they should too. Unlike Best Buy the salespeople at P.C. Richards work off of commission, so they are eager to complete the sale.

6. Lowe's Home Improvement

While there is no details specifically about Amazon price matching, we found a post on Lowes Facebook page requesting details regarding Amazon. And indeed they do! Heres an excerpt...

"Thank you for your post, Nya. Yes, Lowe's will match prices on identical items found on the Internet or E-Commerce sites. The cost of shipping and handling (found on the competitor's quote) must be added to the item's price when determining the total price of the item. Applicable tax must also be added." 6. NewEgg.com

New Egg has a clearly defined price match guarantee its called the "Iron Egg Guarantee". Personally, "The Golden Egg Guarantee" seemed like a better choice of names but its a great way to save on all new eggs egginess. Heres the details on New Eggs' hilariously named Iron Egg Guarantee:

  • If you find an identical item at Amazon.com which is priced lowered than NewEgg, you can request a price adjustment.
  • This price match guarantee is only applicabile to procucts that have the "Iron Egg" logo on it.

  • Staples in one of the only online retailers in the U.S. that will price match Amazon.com at both their brick & mortar stores and via their website.
  • The item must be identical with same model number and warranty.
  • Keep your receipt! You have up to 14 days after your purchase to take advantage of a price match.

  • If you find a better price at Amazon.com, they'll match it only if they carry the same exact product.
  • Can't price match clearance items, closeout products, or refurbished stuff.
  • They have a limit of 1 online price match per item, per shopper.
  • Once you find a cheaper item at Amazon, just bring in evidence on your tablet or smartphone. You can also bring in a printed copy detailing the item and the price at Amazon.com.
  • Target does not limit online price matching to Amazon.com. They'll also price match items from Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, and BabiesRUs.com.

    Similar to Babies R Us, the price match policy at Toys R Us will happily match any price you find on Amazon.com. Here's what you need to know...

    When in-store, just take evidence of the lower Amazon price to any Toys R Us associate.
    Evidence can be in the form of a printed product page, or simply displayed on the Amazon website or app via your smartphone or tablet.
    Item being price matched from Amazon must be the identical product carried by Toys R Us.
    Amazon.com shipping charges will be calculated and factored in the cost of online pricing.
